If you’re considering powder brows, one of the most common questions is: what is the healing process like?
Understanding how your brows will heal helps you feel confident before your appointment and ensures you get the best possible results.
At EH Permanent Makeup in St Albans, I specialise in soft, natural powder brows designed to heal beautifully and subtly.
Day 1–2: Fresh Brows
Immediately after your appointment, your brows will appear:
Darker and more defined
Slightly bold in colour
Very neat in shape
This is completely normal — the colour will soften as your brows heal.
Day 3–5: Slight Dryness
During this stage:
Brows may feel slightly dry
Light flaking may begin
Colour may still appear quite strong
It’s important not to pick or scratch the area.
Day 5–10: Flaking Stage
This is when:
Brows may start to flake
Colour can appear lighter or uneven
This stage can feel worrying, but it’s a normal part of the healing process.
Day 10–14: Colour Softens
Once flaking is complete:
Brows will look softer
Colour may appear lighter than expected
Don’t worry — the pigment will gradually settle.
Week 4–6: Final Healed Result
By this stage:
Colour returns slightly
Brows look soft and natural
Final shape and tone are visible
A top-up appointment is then used to perfect your results.
Do Powder Brows Look Natural After Healing?
Yes — when done correctly, powder brows heal into a soft, natural finish without harsh edges.
My signature SoftFrame Powder Brows technique is designed specifically to create a subtle, borderless look — ideal for mature clients.
